Hot Ginger LA

 

It’s been a crazy few months between working in retail at a fashion company during the holiday and then moving it has definitely been chaotic and kept me on my toes. Now that I am back to blogging, I thought it’d be perfect to share with you about Hot Ginger LA for my first one back!

At Hot Ginger LA you take a quiz so they can get to know your style better and each month they send you box and there is 2 different boxes to choose from. You can choose a three-piece box or a 6 piece box. They also sell the items individually if you don’t want to commit to a box!

I got this mock neck ribbed dress and it is so comfortable. I don’t wear body-con but I’ve been trying to step out of my comfort zone and wear items I wouldn’t normally. Body-con anything is one of those things and it’s a self conscious thing but I don’t want to hold my style back because I’m afraid of someone making fun of me.

 

When I put this dress on I was impressed! It is soooo soft and stretchy. I do not feel restricted in it which is great because I am a fast pace girl at work, I am constantly moving picking up things up, getting on ladders and I felt like I could do anything in it! It hugged my body right without being baggy in certain areas or tight.

I was going to wear my taupe creepers with it and make it a monochrome look but I decided to wear knee-high black boots since it was chilly. I always wear something around my waist it is a comfort thing so I added a pop of denim. I wanted to keep this look sporty but edgy so I wore a taupe leather baseball cap which played perfect with the dress and a black leather jacket to playoff the black boots. There are so many ways to wear this dress, you can even wear it out with pair heels and a clutch at night.

 

 

 

The second item I got from them was this long slit cardigan in navy. This cardigan just like the dress is extremely soft and comfortable. Hot Ginger LA clothing is simple, comfortable and stylish.

I decided to wear this cardigan out to breakfast with my nephew and sister-in-law. I paired it with boyfriend denim, and a white tank with a strappy bra underneath. I wore my new champion running shoes from target and paired it with this gray Men’s baseball cap from Forever 21.

I kept my outfit more casual since I knew I’d be playing with my nephew after but this cardigan would be great for anything. It’s the perfect piece to use when you need to run errands and want to be comfortable but cute. It also great to thrown on top of a simple body-con dress!

Daytime Fun.

Saturday I went out around town and I could not wait to throw on this new Crisscross Front top! I was so excited to wear longer sleeves, Fall is my all time favorite season! I got this top from Forever 21, I love that it’s thin and easy to move in perfect for work & coming into Fall. Plus these new Mirrored sunglasses went perfectly with this outfit.

TIP: Look for causal knit tops with detailing, they are less expensive, easy to throw on and to feel comfortable in. I like to wear tops similar to this when I am feeling  frumpy or I know I am going to be doing activities like playing with my nephew.

To keep my outfit feeling daytime fun, I wore boyfriend denim with a plaid around my waist. I got both these items on sale and they are great pieces to find and not to pass up on! I kept my Accessories casual cool by wearing a camel beanie with a burgundy choker to add some color and black ankle boots so I can keep up with my nephew. I got my beanie from HM they have the best Men’s beanies, I can’t not wait to get more this year!

TIP: I know I brought this up on a previous post but really check out the Men’s section in stores. I got this white and black plaid on sale for $8.99 plus it was during BOGO so it was even better! It never hurts to look , especially since the shirt its self is longer and the length of the arms are as well. You can find similar Women’s styles in Men’s and it wont be as cropped or tapered in.

 

Don’t forget to always add your own style to your outfits! I love mixing different styles together, especially when I’m taking Edgy Street style pieces and mixing it with a bohemian touch like my accessories.

Absolutely Fabulous

I am always dressing up,even when I try to be casual. I always end up adding something to my outfit to make it dressy but today I grabbed my inspiration from my wife’s closet. It was a must to pull this Olive Green Military inspired jacket out! I wanted to add a masculine touch. My wife got this Jacket from Forever 21 men last year but coming into fall it is a new trend but here’s a great similar  Military Jacket from Forever 21 Men.

TIP: Shopping in the Men’s section is great! It does not matter what size you are, the lengths are longer and sizes are bigger. It’s great if you want to add a masculine touch to an outfit! You can find some awesome staple pieces for your closet in the Men’s section!

 

To keep my outfit simple I wore a simple graphic tee, this “Absolutely Fabulous” tee I got from Forever 21 Plus was only $12.90! Graphic tees are a must have all year-long! Especially going into Fall imagine all the layering you can do! I had to put on a simple black choker I can not go anywhere without some sort of choker on. I threw on some boy friend denim and laced up my gray high top converse and was ready to go run some errands!

TIP: Denim is a must! I got my boyfriend denim on sale at Forever 21! Always check the sale racks, original price $29.90 got them $12.99. I go through denim really fast having big thighs and my job consists of me always on my feet walking and going up ladders I feel like I’m always having to buy new pants. 

 

Remember you can have just as much fun with your casual outfits as you do with your dressy ones! As you can see I added my own style to it which gave it some sort of Edge.
